Hey everyone❤️ Happy New Year🥳🎉 2022 already😲 I feel like 2021 flew in. I don't know about you guys but I'm very happy to put 2021 behind me and to have a fresh start in 2022😁 We have a fresh start every day but there is something about entering a new year that is so satisfying as it is like having a clean slate😁
2021 was mad for me. There was a lot of ups and downs and if I'm being completely honest with you all, there was a lot more downs than ups. The last time I posted on my blog was in May. A lot of people had messaged me following that wondering when I was going to post a new blog post but from May onwards so much was going on in my life. As a lot of you may know, I work on the Coronavirus Helpline and things with work were very busy and still are which keeps me going. I got Covid at the start of September and was very unwell. Following this there were a lot of things that I was doing in life that I had wanted to do for a long time that didn't work out as planned, I struggled a lot with my anxiety, people in my life who I thought would always be there for me showed me their true colours and we are no longer on speaking terms (which is always for the best in those situations), I have been dealing with long covid side effects and just trying to get a plan sorted and go back to the drawing board with what to do next in life. Its been a rollercoaster since I last posted to say the least🎢
Some people reading this may be wondering why I am talking about the things that went wrong for me. The truth is, so many people only post the good on social media. They post all of the good things that happen to them and never the bad. This is because a lot of the time, people want to put their best selves forward. Don't get me wrong, I get wanting to do that. It is very hard to talk about the things that go wrong in life and it is definitely a lot easier to talk about the things that go right. For me personally, I want to be the person who talks about the good and the bad. I want to celebrate my wins but also mention the losses. I want to do this because I know that there are so many people out there on social media who may be going through hard times, things aren't working out for them as planned etc and they are looking at social media where people are posting all the amazing things happening to them which can really get people down. I want to show people that yes accomplishing things and having good things happen to you is amazing and something to celebrate but that it is also perfectly normal that sometimes things don't work out in life as you planned and that things aren't always perfect and great. I will always post the good and the bad as life is a learning curve and if I can help others with my experiences then I will always do that😊
I have a lot of things I would like to accomplish this year. I want to focus on the next steps for me in my Law career, saving money, being more consistent with going to the gym and eating well, travelling more and seeing new places, going on more adventures, journaling as it is proven to help with anxiety, post more on my blog, I would love to do more volunteer work, reading more and taking time to do the things that make me happy.
Do you have anything that you are focusing on this year? If so I wish you the very best of luck with everything you want to achieve😁 Please do keep in mind that if the things you want to achieve don't work out as planned for what ever reason it may be, there is something better around the corner. What is meant for you will never pass you by and this is something I can promise you❤️I hope that the new year is filled with nothing but success, happiness and blessings for you all❤️
As always, if you ever want to talk about anything I am always here whether we know each other personally or not you can message me anytime❤️ You can message me on any of my social media platforms which are linked on my blog😊
I hope that you and your families are all safe and well at this time. The situation with Covid is crazy at the moment so I really hope that you are all doing okay❤️ If you are sick at the moment, you are in my thoughts and prayers🙏 Sending you lots of love and I hope you feel better soon❤️
I have some really good posts in mind for this year😁 I am looking forward to speaking on many more topics and as always, I am open to suggestions on what you would like me to speak about. You can message me with any suggests you have on any of my social media platforms😁
This year is our year, I am claiming it for us all❤️ Lets make the most of it and live life to the fullest❤️
Much Love Always,
Shannon💛
